Ali brings over 23 years of experience in global clinical research, with a solid foundation in both strategic and operational roles across global, regional, and country levels.

He began his career as a CRA with ICON, and later joined Kendle (now Syneos Health), where he progressed through roles of increasing responsibility—from Lead CRA to Project Manager, Project Director, and ultimately Regional Director of Clinical Operations for Asia-Pacific. In this leadership role, he successfully managed a team of 125 clinical research professionals across the region.

Ali’s entrepreneurial vision led him to establish and lead the India-based operations for Orphan Reach, a UK-based global rare disease CRO supporting its worldwide business. As a key leadership team member, he played an instrumental role in positioning Orphan Reach as one of the most respected rare disease-focused CROs globally. The organization was ultimately acquired by a major global CRO through a successful strategic transaction.

In 2015, Ali founded S4 Research, which has since grown into one of India’s leading site support organizations. Under his leadership, S4 has delivered multiple clinical trials across a wide range of therapeutic areas, with a focus on hard-to-recruit populations—including multiple rare disease studies.

Ali brings deep expertise in strategic feasibility, innovative patient recruitment methodologies, patient-centric solutions, and building strong relationships with investigators, sites, and patient groups. Known for building and scaling high-performing teams, he remains dedicated to advancing clinical research excellence in India and helping patients gain early access to treatment.

Ali is a clinical pharmacist and an alumnus of the prestigious National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), where he graduated as a gold medalist.
